Telephone Booths

We were commissioned to design and build two telephone booths for an off shore oil drill rig off the East Coast of Australia. The main reason for these enclosures was to give rig personnel the privacy for phone calls during constant noisy operating times. These booths were fitted with a comfort air fan and full lighting and power. Built in kit form they were easy to transport onto the rig and even easier to assemble.

Adelaide Desalination plant

Two large acoustic enclosures were designed and built at our premises for the Adelaide desalination project. These enclosures housed a 1100KVa generator set, 2400Lt diesel fuel tank and a rear mounted electrical CB. The enclosure was an impressive 9.5m long x 3.0m wide x 3.2m high which travelled as one complete assembly as a single lift enclosure. A two pack paint system ensured durability for the future. The contract was won on the prevision of an extremely early delivery which dB Acoustics were able to achieve.

Mt Buffalo

Telstra required an upgrade at their Mt Buffalo SGP site. They needed something that was practical, durable and also aesthetically pleasing yet functional. The now would also present a concern on the roof loadings therefore a traditional heavy sloped roof was adopted. The design centered around a standard 20 foot shipping container which housed x x 15KVa generator sets and a 6500Lt duel skin diesel fuel tank to supply the sets. The enclosure, reated 75dB(A) at one metre, was fully packaged at our premises and then transported to site for final installation.

Compressor Rack enclosure

An Acoustic panel system was designed for a compressor rack that included removable panel sides and a door to obtain access to the control panel. Cross flow ventilation was also an important aspect of this design to ensure that the compressors were sufficiently cooled.
